3It's the book...
By Jeff Gardner
It is the right book for private pilot ground school.... They just seem to make it pretty cheap in quality. Wears out quickly. I got the app for the iPad and it's so much easier to study with... Plus it was only $9.99.

52012 Private Pilot Test Prep -
By Tina Cromer
I've started out using the Gleim study books in 2011 and really liked them. I got This AOPA Prep test for the 2012 version. It is good and covers everything with detachable workbook(nice option). It also tells you why other answers are not correct. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5. AOPA is a top notch group, they have helped me get my medical and purhcase a plane. AOPA is the BEST!

5Great value!
By The Third and Only
Studying is a lot easier with this book. One book covers multiple aircraft. Chapters are broken down into areas that they are on the FAA test. Questions are actual test items along with reason each answer is coreect/incorrect. Highly recomment this book.
